To start off, Coco's transcription tool was built for two key reasons, discoverability and accessibility. Ultimately, we wanted to make our podcasters show shows easier to find on search engines like Google when searching while also giving those who are hard of hearing a chance to interact with the content.

Since we've launched the transcription feature, Coast podcasters have found it extremely useful to transcribe drafted, scheduled, and published content. We've also had our podcasters tell us that when published, it helps boost the downloads of their show.

Here's a rundown of how it works. One, add an audio file to cohost by creating an episode and either saving it as a draft, scheduling it for later, or publishing it. Then number two, as soon as you create an episode in whichever form you choose, you will see it automatically added to your transcription library.

Then, you can choose to transcribe the file, edit it, and publish it. Either to a cohost website or download it as a Word Docs you can add to an external site or use it in your production process.
